Membership Committee
The Membership Committee is in charge of the maintenance and enhancement of the life of the congregation of St. Luke. This committee is in charge of its evangelization for new members, programs that nurture its life together and its outreach to other beyond our walls. This committee is in charge of the monthly newsletter, "The Lukan Letter," and publicity of services and events in local newspapers.
This committee assists the Pastor in encouraging attendance by those who have been absent from worship, preparing lists of people to be dropped from the Active to the Inactive Rolls, from the Inactive to the Active Rolls, and contacting prospective new members of the church. The Membership Committee is also responsible for New Member Classes welcoming gifts on the morning of joining also exiting gifts when a member must move away.
A bulletin board, directories of members, preparing the calling tree to notify the congregation in times of death and providing the congregation with name tags to be worn for Sunday worship also are the membership committee's responsibilities.
