Worship Committee

The Worship Committee is responsible for all of the worship observances of the church, as well as its maintenance and design. This committee recruits ushers, greeters, and communion servers. It supervises Club Luke and Third Friday. It also solicits flowers, purchases and prepares elements for Communion, approves any changes in the Sunday liturgy, and works with the music and pastoral staff. It also provides seasonal decorations (Christmas tree, poinsettias, Easter lilies, etc.)

In addition, it chooses and provides hymnals and pew Bibles, purchases candles, oversees organ maintenance and piano tuning, purchases new music for the choirs, and generally works with the organist and music staff. The committee is also responsible for finding pulpit supply preachers in the absence of the pastor and substitute organists when necessary.
