Renovation
We're Growing!
St. Luke is in the midst of a sanctuary renovation project to provide an updated and expanded worship space. The project will include increasing the size of our sanctuary to provide additional space for the congregation as well as musicians, choirs and instruments, pitching the roof on our building and incorporating other physical improvements. Learn more about how the renovation project evolved in this timeline and overview of the project.

On Sunday, July 12, 2009, St. Luke celebrated its last day in the current sanctuary with a "Service of New Beginnings," and observed a groundbreaking ceremony for the renovation project.
You can check out photos located on this website under the Fellowship heading. You can also read about memories members and friends shared about special events or moments they witnessed in the current sanctuary.
Work began on the renovation project July 13, 2009, and is expected to last approximately nine months. During construction, worship services will be held in our church's Heller Fellowship Hall.
A task force of members oversaw the transition to Heller Fellowship Hall to make it inviting, warm and beautiful. Worship will have a different feel -- less formal and more "communal." One of the major projects was relocating the stained glass windows from the sanctuary to the windows in Heller Hall. Much appreciation is extended to Da Guys for the outstanding workmanship. In addition to relocating the stained glass, Da Guys painted the stage wall and hung beautiful banners in Heller Hall that were designed by Linda Christy and Marcia Ronspies, and handcrafted by Linda. The banners depict the symbols and words of Love, Joy, Mission, Grace, Hope and Faith.

Share Your Stories About St. Luke
For many St. Luke members and friends, their experiences in the existing sanctuary bring back stirring memories. Maybe you remember a special service, the day you were married or joined the church, the Sunday your children were baptized, a beautiful Music Sunday, the Cherubs singing or even the time the carpet caught fire! We'd love to hear and share your stories as we begin construction on our new sanctuary. Share your memories of special times at St. Luke by sending an email to cchriscollins@comcast.net. We'll share them here and in other communication vehicles.
