Erie House

Erie House is an inner-city Community Center serving the needs of a mostly Hispanic neighborhood. The Center provides child care, a youth center, English as second language courses and job skill training.

During the Lenten Season, the Deacons put out the 'pig', a ceramic piggy ban, to collect donations.  These Easter donations are used to buy hams for the center clients.

During the month of November, the ceramic "turkey" comes out to collect donations that are used to purchase Thanksgiving turkeys for the center clients.

A Christmas tree is put up in our rotunda with gift tags and suggestions for various items that are used for Christmas Presents for Erie House clients of all ages. the Christmas gifts are alternated between the Warming Center and Erie House on an even/odd year basis.
