Helping Hands

The St. Luke Deacons sponsor an outreach program to help people in time of need. This may be simply to drive someone to their doctor's appointment, pick up or deliver groceries to a shut in, prepare and deliver a meal, care for children for a few hours while the parent (s) handle important appointments. It may include giving a ride to someone so they can attend church on Sunday morning, or helping with a leaky faucet, or rake leaves in the fall or shovel snow in the winter for someone that has had surgery or is ill.

The Deacons would like to prepare and keep a list of volunteers in the church office so that when needs arise, there is quick access to a volunteer without having to make numerous phone calls.

You would be contacted by a Deacon representative, Pastor Howard or Jeannette.
