Sunday School
Summer Sunday School
Typically, because there are so many activities and vacations scheduled during the summer months, we have fewer children in Sunday School and thus combine classes. We would particularly like to encourage those members who don’t teach during the school year to try teaching a Sunday during the summer. This is a one-Sunday commitment (as opposed to four Sundays during the school year), and your assistance would allow those who regularly teach AIF to have a break.
As summer is such a busy time, please feel free to e-mail or call Eileen Miller, Chris Collins, or Barb Bollenberg if you have a specific summer Sunday that you would like to teach. We will fill your name in on the calendar prior to posting. If, two weeks prior to a given Sunday, no one has signed up to teach, we will cancel Sunday School and children will remain in church with their parents. We have adopted this approach because last-minute recruiting is so difficult in the summer when Christian Education Committee members and many church members may be out of town. If we need to cancel Sunday School, an announcement will be placed in the bulletin. Please sign up early; let’s work together to continue Sunday School throughout the summer months!
